Welcome to our warm and welcoming home, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to live and learn alongside a local family during your medical internship. Located in the peaceful residential area of Banasthali, northwest of Kathmandu, our spacious three-story house offers a secure, homely environment for students embarking on their medical journey. The house is nestled in a private, safe compound with the office located on-site, ensuring that you always have access to our team for support and assistance.
Our home is just a 25-minute drive from Tribhuvan Hospital in Maharajgunj, providing easy access to your clinical rotations while offering a quiet and peaceful retreat at the end of each day. The surrounding area is calm and safe, with convenient local shops and eateries, and its well- connected to the heart of the city for those weekend adventures in Kathmandu.
Unlike traditional guesthouses, this is not just a place to stay – it’s your home away from home. You’ll be living with a family who will ensure that you feel comfortable and supported throughout your stay. We understand that living in a new country can be challenging, and our role is to provide both a safe, nurturing environment and seamless coordination with the hospital for your internship.
Our home is designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The house has a variety of rooms, including private ensuite options and shared bathrooms, all equipped with Quality bedding. You’ll have access to cozy communal areas, including a living room with TV and high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen. The highlight of the house is the roof terrace, where you can unwind and enjoy breathtaking views of the city. The surrounding Nagarjun and Raniban areas offer tranquil walking paths for you to explore in your free time.
In addition to your room, we provide daily support to ensure that your stay is both comfortable and enriching. A friendly housekeeper will take care of the cleaning and prepare breakfast each morning, so you can start your day feeling refreshed and ready to take on the challenges of your internship. Lunch is typically enjoyed at the hospital’s cafe, offering a variety of choices, while you’ll find several delicious dinner options nearby or in the city.
For your convenience, transportation to and from the hospital is simple and affordable. We recommend using local car apps like Indrive or Pathao, which make it easy to share rides with fellow interns and keep costs low. While bikes are an option, we advise using a car for safety and comfort.
Here, we aim to create a supportive, close-knit community where you can not only focus on your medical training but also experience Nepali culture and lifestyle in a truly personal way. Whether you’re exploring Kathmandu or unwinding at home, we’re here to ensure that your time in Nepal is memorable, rewarding, and full of learning.
